It's official. Dave doesn't have a "girlfriend" anymore.
In the same restaurant where I met April for dinner for the first time (a meaningless coincidence), and in the presence of friends, I made April a once-in-a-lifetime offer, and she, with some surprise, accepted, and has slipped quite readily from the role of "girlfriend" to that of "fiancee".
We've set a date and place, too. We're planning to wed on June 27, 2009, at the home of a family friend out in California. In fact, have a look at our web site for more information.
