Undergraduate Computational Science Education Consortium (KUCSEC)
Computational
Science is an emerging interdisciplinary field that integrates computing,
mathematical modeling and visualization to solve problems in physical,
natural, behavioral, and social sciences; and finance and engineering.
It is at the intersection of mathematics, computer science and science,
and provides an important method in the development of scientific
knowledge.
Capital University has been awarded a grant from the W. M. Keck
Foundation of Los Angeles to establish the Keck Undergraduate Computational
Science Educational Consortium. The eight-school consortium, of
which Capital will serve as the lead institution, will develop and
implement educational materials for an undergraduate curriculum
in computational science.
