Use this tutorial to develop a
familiarity with some of the many different types of minerals studied in the laboratory.
Students are encouraged to use this tutorial to assist with studying outside of the
laboratory; however, they are also reminded that the best way to learn the distinguishing
characteristics of each mineral is to study them in the lab where one can use all of the
senses.
