Finance, Planning, and Development

Duties

To address concerns or changes regarding modifications to the Student Handbook.

To monitor and ensure the proper use of funds appropriated to the Senate and its respective members.

To monitor and make recommendations in regard to the use of tuition funds by the administration.

To be the sole authority to initiate financial expenditures in accordance with the annual budget.

To keep records in regard to all financial expenditures of Student Government.

To assist in the development of long-term plans in regard to the university.

To monitor construction and renovation projects taking place on University owned properties.

To prepare and present end of the year financial statements to the Committee on Finance, Planning and Development of the newly elected General Assembly at least one week prior to their organizational meeting.

To ensure that no funds are exhausted without the passage and implementation of a budget.

To prepare and submit a summer and beginning of year operating budget to cover for the following, but not limited to expenses while on summer recess: summer mailing, summer copying and necessary supplies, retreat payments, start up supplies.
